It\u2019s on June 19 &#8211; 20 at The Coaches Club at MetLife Stadium. We had a Q&amp;A with <strong>Ovadyah Stavsky, Director of Marketing at SPS and LTC<\/strong>, to find out what you need to know to get the most out of the packed agenda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: This is the sixth annual Healthcare Summit. What\u2019s new this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve taken the learnings from each of the previous Healthcare Summits and have built them into this year\u2019s event. The Healthcare Summit started out fairly small, but due to overflowing classes and increased success year after year, we\u2019ve scaled the program to a full two-day event. We are offering attendees up to three CEUs per day for a total of six, and all workshops are approved LNHA\u2019s, CALA\u2019s, DON\u2019s and SW\u2019s, and for all states.<\/p>\n<p>The Healthcare Summit is all about appreciation and learning opportunities for our clients and healthcare professionals. I\u2019m sure attendees won\u2019t be disappointed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q: Can you tell us about the informative CEU sessions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday, June 19th, there are two sessions on \u201cUtilization Review Today \u2013 Everything You Need to Know\u2026And Then Some!\u201d The UR process controls costs and quality of care, which protects both patients and facilities. Each session earns 1.5 CEUs, for a total of 3 CEUs for the full course.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s two-part program is on a topic that doesn\u2019t receive enough attention: \u201cFrom High School to Old School: Elders Who Bully and Strategies to Intervene.\u201d Some seniors in facilities undergo the same unfair treatment as high school students. Again, each session earns 1.5 CEUs.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees do not have to go to all sessions to get credits. New Jersey social workers should be aware that they must attend part one and two of a course for three credits.
